OUR HERITAGE
We began as Ketchie-Houston, a partnership formed in 1947 by Edgar M Ketchie Sr., and Marvin Houston. Marvin Houston sold his ownership interest in the company in 1972. Edgar "Ed" M. Ketchie, Jr., joined his father in the company in 1976 and assumed the Presidency in 1980 when his father passed away. In 2004, the third generation entered the business; Robert "Bobby" Ketchie joined his father to carry on the Ketchie family tradition. With Ed's retirement in 2006, Bobby became the President and majority owner. Bobby's bride Courtney, joined Ketchie in 2008; adding her experience in finance and supply chain management to the business. Together, Bobby and Courtney operated and grew the company until Bobby passed away in March of 2014. Courtney is now the president and sole shareholder ensuring the continuation of Ketchie's legacy. In 2015, under Courtney's leadership, Ketchie, Inc. received national recognition as a Certified Woman Owned and Operated Business Enterprise and is positioned to grow with capital investments in new equipment and technology.
